Maundy Thursday.
Maundy: from mandatum, Latin for command.
And what is the command?
34I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. 35By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
So much has been written; so much has been said about this command.
What more is there to write that has not already been written?
What more is there to say that has not already been said?
All that is left is to do.
At times it seems impossible with all there is to divide.
It's easier to clump with those who look like us,
...believe like us,
...act like us,
...dress like us,
...or what have you.
Such superficiality that divides.
But Jesus expects more out of those who follow Him.
Differences be damned.
"Love one another as I have loved you."
That's not a request.
