A Good Question

If it is o.k. for us to seek to change one another's minds in the political sphere and convert a person to our point of view, why then is it seemingly not o.k. for us to seek to change another's mind and convert another to our religious point of view?

Discuss.

Like, who said it's not "o.k."? Didn't Jesus say something like "Go ye therefore and make disciples of all nations"?

Many of the same voices who say, "Honor all religious faiths and do not try to convert." are the same people who try to convert others to their philosophical/political ideology. There is an inherent contradiction in that.
